01Our commitment
I want citymarketing.net to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology. I am working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
This approach supports the accessibility expectations that apply to visitors in the United States (Americans with Disabilities Act), Canada (Accessible Canada Act and provincial laws such as the AODA) and the United Kingdom (Equality Act 2010).
02What I have done
- Semantic page structure, with one main heading per page and clear section headings.
- Text that resizes, with a layout that adapts to phones, tablets and desktops without sideways scrolling.
- Colour contrast chosen for readable text, and information that is not shown by colour alone.
- Links and buttons that can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- A skip link and labelled landmarks, so screen reader users can move around quickly.
- Form fields with visible labels and clear error messages.
- Motion kept minimal, and animation reduced for visitors who set “reduce motion” on their device.
- Descriptive link text and text alternatives for meaningful images.
03Current status
I test the site myself using automated checks and manual keyboard and mobile testing. The site has not yet had a formal third-party accessibility audit, so I cannot claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA. Accessibility is reviewed whenever pages are added or changed.
04Known limitations
- Embedded and third-party content, such as booking tools, maps, video or scheduling widgets, may not be fully accessible. These are provided by other companies.
- Older documents, such as PDFs shared with clients, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. I can supply an accessible version on request.
- Security checks, such as Cloudflare Turnstile on forms, are designed to be accessible, but if one blocks you, contact me directly by email or WhatsApp.
05Other ways to reach me
If any part of the site is hard to use, you do not have to use it. I am happy to help by email, phone or WhatsApp, to provide information in another format (such as plain text or larger print) and to arrange calls instead of forms.
06Feedback and complaints
If you find a barrier or have a suggestion, please tell me. Include the page address, what went wrong and the device or assistive technology you use if you can.
