02What this policy covers

This policy explains how I collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit this website, fill in a form, or contact me by email, phone or WhatsApp.

If I provide services to your business and handle your own customers’ information on your behalf (for example leads, call records or ad audiences), I do that as your service provider or processor, under a separate written agreement and your instructions. This policy does not cover that work.

03Information I collect

I only collect what I need. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

WhereWhat I collect
Enquiry formFull name, business name, email, phone number (optional), website or Google Maps link (optional), city and country, type of business, service needed, your message, your consent, the page or button you used, and campaign details (UTM tags) if you arrived from an ad or link.
Direct contactYour name, email address or phone number, and the contents of your emails, WhatsApp messages or calls.
Technical and usage dataIP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, referring site and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and only after you consent where the law requires it.
Security and spam checksSignals such as a hidden form field, form timing and, if enabled, a Cloudflare Turnstile check, used to block automated spam.
Advertising dataIf you click one of my ads, the ad platform may share campaign and click information with me. If marketing cookies are enabled and you accept them, tools such as the Meta Pixel may record that you visited.

Please do not send sensitive information through the website, such as health details, government ID numbers or payment card numbers. I do not need them to answer an enquiry.

04How and why I use it

Under UK data protection law I must have a lawful basis for using your information. Here is how that works in practice:

PurposeLawful basis (UK / EU)
Reply to your enquiry and arrange a callTaking steps at your request; legitimate interests (running my business)
Provide my services and manage the client relationshipPerformance of a contract
Measure and improve the websiteConsent (analytics cookies)
Show and measure my own advertisingConsent (advertising cookies)
Keep the site secure and prevent spam or fraudLegitimate interests
Send newsletters or marketing emailsConsent, which you can withdraw at any time
Keep records for tax, accounting and legal claimsLegal obligation; legitimate interests

In Canada I rely on your consent, which may be express or implied depending on the situation. In the United States I use your information for the business purposes described here. I do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

05Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, help the site work and let me understand how it is used. They fall into these groups:

  • Essential: needed for security and basic functions, for example remembering that you just submitted the form, so you cannot accidentally send it twice.
  • Analytics: help me see which pages are useful, for example Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager.
  • Advertising: measure my ad campaigns and show relevant ads, for example the Meta Pixel.

Where the law requires consent (for example in the UK, the EU and Canada), analytics and advertising technologies are only switched on after you agree. You can change your choice at any time, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. More detail is in my Cookie Policy.

This website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads.

06Who I share information with

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted providers who help me run the website and my business, and only as needed:

  • website hosting and security providers
  • email, calendar and document tools, for example Google Workspace
  • messaging apps you choose to contact me on, such as WhatsApp
  • analytics and advertising tools, for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta, if you accept those cookies
  • anti-spam and bot-protection tools, for example Cloudflare Turnstile
  • professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, where needed

I may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect my rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the business, in which case the new owner must honour this policy.

07International transfers

I am based in Pakistan, so information you send me will be processed there. My service providers may also store it in the United States and other countries.

UK and EU visitors: Pakistan does not currently have an adequacy decision from the UK or the EU. Where the law requires, I rely on an appropriate transfer safeguard, or on an exception such as your explicit consent or the transfer being necessary to respond to your request or perform a contract with you. You can contact me for details.

Canadian visitors: your information may be processed outside Canada and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and other authorities in those countries under their laws.

08How long I keep information

I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purposes above:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Client records and agreements: for the length of the relationship, plus up to 6 years for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
  • Analytics and advertising data: kept for the periods set in those tools, which I keep as short as is practical.
  • Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

You can ask me to delete your information earlier, subject to any records I am legally required to keep.

09Security

I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited access and spam protection. No website or system is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, I will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.

10Your rights

You can contact me at any time to use the rights below. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I will respond within the time the law allows (usually one month in the UK and EU, 30 days in Canada and up to 45 days in many US states). There is normally no charge.

UK and EU

  • Access your information
  • Correct it
  • Erase it
  • Restrict or object to its use
  • Receive a portable copy
  • Withdraw consent at any time

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your local data protection authority. I would appreciate the chance to fix the problem first.

Canada

  • Access your information
  • Challenge its accuracy and ask for correction
  • Withdraw consent, subject to legal limits
  • Ask how it is handled

You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. Quebec residents can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

United States

  • Know what is collected and why
  • Access a copy
  • Delete it
  • Correct it
  • Opt out of sale or sharing
  • Not be treated unfairly for using your rights

These rights apply under laws such as California’s CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in other states, where they apply to my business.

11US state privacy notice (including California)

In the last 12 months I may have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number and IP address); business and professional information (such as business name and website); internet or network activity (such as pages viewed); and the contents of messages you send me. I collect these from you directly and from your browser or device.

I use them for the business purposes listed in this policy. I do not sell your personal information for money. If you accept advertising cookies such as the Meta Pixel, some laws may treat that data sharing as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising or as a “sale”. You can opt out by declining advertising cookies, by using your browser’s privacy controls, or by emailing me. I will honour opt-out preference signals where the law requires it.

I do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through this website and I do not use it to infer characteristics about you. You can ask a trusted authorised agent to make a request for you, and I may ask for proof of that authority.

12Marketing messages

I will only send you marketing emails or messages if you agree or the law otherwise allows it. Every message will include a way to opt out, and I will honour your request promptly. Replying to your enquiry is not marketing.

13Children

This website is for business owners and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.

15Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If I make a significant change, I will highlight it on the website.
